Sitka CPR & First Aid
This First Aid, CPR & AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner.The course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA, Coast Guard), or other requirements, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.What you will learn in this class:

"Stop the Bleed" is a national awareness campaign and call to action in the United States aimed at empowering bystanders to act quickly and effectively in bleeding emergencies before professional help arrives.

Blended Classes

Here’s what this First Aid, CPR & AED course looks like
- Online Segment: Participants start with an online portion they can do from anywhere, at their convenience. They'll get an email link for this part, which takes about 1-3 hours to complete.
- Skills Session: After the online part, we'll have a face-to-face session for practical training with me. This will be held in a physical location and takes between 45 minutes to 1 hour.
- E-Cards are available the same day.

What prevents hemorrhaging? In our Stop the Bleed, Tourniquet and Bleeding Control training, you’ll acquire knowledge of three rapid methods to potentially save a life before excessive bleeding occurs:
- Applying manual pressure to a wound using your hands
- Packing a wound to manage bleeding
- Properly applying a tourniquet. Mastery of these techniques will enable you to provide assistance in emergencies and may result in saving lives.
